This project began with a memory — when my younger sister got bitten by a dog in 1994. I wrote down everything I could remember about that experience and then took it even farther, creating a mind map of broad associations branching from my memory. I chose the most interesting associations and researched them thoroughly, collecting a wide variety of interesting information and images, ranging from video transcripts to scientific studies.
The goal of the resulting publication was to deal with an excessive amount of information on each spread. I developed a structure where my story was broken into sentences, tagged with a date and time, and spread out in reverse order throughout the publication. All other content also follows that structure, beginning with the most recent information, articles, and events and ending with the most historical. This idea also branched to my cover, image introduction, and "fake-out" table of contents (purely symbolic because of the small number of pages).
